Before Foodstocks, Indonesia's snack distribution chain was held back by inefficiency. A reseller or wholesale store owner had to contact 5 to 7 different distributors just to complete their product selection, with no guarantee of stock availability and no transparency around price fluctuations.
Meanwhile, hundreds of high-quality small-scale and medium-scale snack producers and suppliers struggled to enter the national market because of limited operating capital and the absence of an integrated logistics network. Foodstocks was born from seeing firsthand how snack distribution in Indonesia actually works: hundreds of small suppliers whose products never reach minimarket shelves in other cities, thousands of resellers who must call 5 different distributors to fulfill one order, and logistics operating without data.
We started by building the physical infrastructure first, food-grade warehouses, logistics networks, and operations teams. Only then did we build the technology on top of a foundation already tested in the field. This is what sets Foodstocks apart: we don't build software for an industry we don't understand.
Today, Foodstocks connects four sides of one ecosystem: consumers who need products, suppliers and producers who make them, resellers who sell them, and Foodstocks as the distributor and connector. Foodstocks was born seeing resellers struggle to find quality snack products at fair prices. We started from zero, one supplier, one reseller, one dream.
